About The Department
General Medicine is the special branch that deals with the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases, and focuses on how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases that affect adults. This department is the backbone for the entire hospital and fetching opinions and advice to various departments on demand.
The common medical ailments treated include acute and chronic infections, metabolic disorders such as hypertension, obesity, diabetes mellitus, endocrine disorders, liver disorders, renal disorders; cardiac disorders neurological ailments, nutritional disorders, geriatric care, hematological disorders and critical care illness. Our department is committed in applying the latest medical knowledge and technology to meet the needs of the patients. We have Outpatient department, Inpatient Ward, ICU, ICCU, RICU and 24 hours casualty services.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES:-
The Department conducts various activities from time to time. These include CMEs, workshops and guest lectures. The Department is involved in the teaching of undergraduate students (MBBS, physiotherapy, and BSc nursing) and postgraduates (MD medicine). The undergraduate program trains students in medical skills and regular bedside clinics followed by frequent assessments.

HOD of Anatomy is the first stepping stone in laying out a firm foundation for medical aspirants. With the sound grasp of normal body structure; medical professionals are able to reason out a just rationale towards any disease.
Academic teaching comprises of 9 Subdivisions along with Research education to stimulate and boost new ideas in Research domain. Postgraduate and other allied students also undergo training in the department.
The subject dynamism attracts General and Super Speciality surgeons to revisit cadaveric lab for advance skill sharpening and explore new surgical interventions on cadavers.
